Details

Three Volume Set. 1906 Hermes Trismegistus helps us by imparting his wisdom, giving us true knowledge of the world, the nature of man, and how we can better ourselves and our situation. Many of the Hermetic writings take the form of dialogues; between Hermes and one of his disciples, between a divine figure of some sort and an enlightened human , and between a seeming "master" and "initiate". The Hermeticists experienced powerful and extraordinary insights to which they tried to give expression in their writings. the Hermeticists and Gnostics were close spiritual relatives, both groups were singularly devoted to Gnosis, which they understood to be the experience of liberating interior knowledge, creating the historic, mythic, and mystic consideration of the Origins of Christianity. Studies in Hellenistic Theosophy and Gnosis, being a translation of the Extant Sermons & Fragments of the Trismegistic Literature, with prolegomena, commentaries & notes. These volumes might perhaps be described as the preparation of materials to serve for the historic, mythic, and mystic consideration of the Origins of Christianity.
