1957 Elizabeth Gilfillian, who at the age of 75 wrote this remarkable set of instructions (she was appearing on the stage at the time). She collected many different exercises which are illustrated in the book. At the age of 78 she still received compliments on the beauty of her skin. Among the exercises given in this remarkable book are the following: reducing the abdomen: reducing the backside; reducing the hips and thighs; exercises for erect carriage; exercise for a flat chest (this makes the bosom look larger); the bosom lift; curing bow legs; foot exercises; mouth beautifier; slenderizing the nose; exercise for extra long crow’s feet (the most difficult sign of age of all to remove), etc.
